Mr. David was formerly a member of King Street Chambers Leicester prior to joining New Walk Barristers Chambers.


Employment: Alastair regularly appears in the Employment Tribunal throughout the United Kingdom.  He has experience in both representing Claimants and Respondents in single and multi day cases.  Alastair has experience in variety of areas of employment law including,

  • Unfair Dismissal.
  • Discrimination; Sex, Race, Disability, Age.
  • Unlawful deduction from wages.
  • Breach of Contract.
  • Public Interest Disclosure.
  • Equal Pay.

Civil: Alastair has a wide ranging general Civil Law practise.  He has represented Claimants in personal injury, sales of goods, credit hire and contract cases.  He has particular experience in,

  • Multi Track Fraud cases.
  • Fast Track cases.
  • Personal Injury cases.
  • Insolvency
  • Credit Hire.
  • Small claims.
  • Infant Approvals.

Immigration: Alastair has a variety of experience in Immigration matters including,

  • Visa Applications.
  • Applications for Indefinite leave to remain.
  • Asylum cases.
  • Deportation cases.
  • Article 8 claims.  

Crime: Alastair appears in both the Magistrates Court and the Crown Court.  He has particular expertise in Road Traffic cases and has represented Defendants in serious road traffic matters such as death by careless driving cases.
