Before commencing Pupillage at New Walk Chambers under Simon Reed, Shabinah worked as a litigation fee earner at two local firms and as an in-house lawyer at Leicester City Council.

Shabinah is an experienced county court advocate and litigator and known for her straight talking no-nonsense approach. She has a particular specialism in properly litigation and has represented the interests of companies and individuals in leasehold and landlord and tenant disputes. As a well-rounded litigator Shabinah has experience in dealing with licensing, debt recovery and commercial and company matters resulting to fast and multi-track trials. Shabinah has experience of successfully navigating away from court action with the use of her negotiation and mediation skills, however, where matters result to trial her clients are well prepared as Shabinah adopts a commercial and economical approach to costs.

Shabinah has experience in advising on some aspects of Sharia Law in relation to family matters concerning, marriage, divorce and property share.
