Employment Law

All cases dealt with in Employment Tribunals (and upwards on appeal) including proceedings for a Redundancy Payment, Unfair Dismissal, Wrongful Dismissal (a contract claim under the Extension of Jurisdiction Order 1994), claims for Discrimination under the Equality Act 2010, part-time worker and fixed term employee claims.

Wrongful dismissal cases in the High Court for amounts higher than Employment Tribunals can order.

Claims for injunctions (for example enforcement of restrictive covenants in employment contracts) in the County Court or the High Court.

Work at all stages of proceedings is covered from advices in writing or in conference on merits or remedy, the drafting of grounds of application to tribunals, Respondents' responses, notices of appeal and skeleton arguments, appearance at case management conferences, preliminary hearings, final hearings, appeals (including preliminary hearings) final hearings, appeals (including preliminary hearings) at the EAT etc.

Advices on employment contracts and dismissal procedures; exceptionally acting as an investigation officer or disciplinary meeting chairman if necessary.

Courts and Tribunals nationwide are covered; presently Tribunals from Newcastle to Ashford Kent have been venues for cases.
